Drawn from dépendance and Natalie Seroussi artists’ works, Paris – Bruxelles takes this joint exhibition as an opportunity to reexamine the art of both galleries’ artists from the twentieth century to the present. The exhibition will take place in both galleries’ spaces in Paris and Brus- sels and will feature ten works by Gil Joseph Wolman, a key figure in the Letterism movement, an artist whose complex body of work combines poetry, writing, collage, pictures, films and videos – the multidisciplinary artist whose inventiveness ranged from medium to medium.

The double-show seeks to show the ever-changing perspectives of art-
ists and their capacity to develop visual forms that respond to the culture of their times. The exhibition elaborates the themes, ideas, beliefs, and passions that have stimulated artists in their struggle to work within and against established conventions, often directly engaging their political and social contexts.
