In ’Porcelain Paintings’, Thilo Heinzmann’s second solo exhibition at dépendance, the Berlin artist exhibits work that pushes the painter’s pursuit of form-giving, extending it also into the zone in front of the canvas. Figures stand on the plane of the image, their intricately bent and swerving surfaces becoming the site where a palette of whites, from cold to warm, opens in twists, peaks and folds of these porcelain bodies.
